I'd personally live as a coward. What's the point of dying a hero when you can't reap the rewards? Lol

Which part of The Hobbit inspired this?

I wouldn't enjoy living as a coward.

Not any part in particular. I guess just how it starts off with bilbo in his house living his peaceful life and then going off on an adventure that's deemed heroic.

Heroically die. We all hate Ian Beale-types or the translator chap from Saving Private Ryan.

I think it depends on what I'd be dying for.

Die a hero, the glory will last longer than the pitifully short human life span.

Die an anonymous hero? - now that's a tricky question. It would depend on exactly what you were dying for.

Die a hero.

My only aim in life is to leave the world a slightly better place than when I arrived. If the way to do this is through my death, that's ok.

I find it odd that we as a society would consider wanting to remain alive as being cowardly? What is intrinsically heroic about dying anyway?
