Hi, I'm currently studying AS sociology, and am really struggling with how to write the essays.

The question I'm currently doing is:

Using material from Item B and elsewhere, assess the strengths and limitations of one of the following methods for investigating truancy from school:
EITHER: official statistics
OR: participant observation

from the June 2011 paper.

Would anyone be able to give me help in how to set out these essays and what to cover in them?

Thanks!

Hey Sorry for the late reply! Things to include are...
Practical Issues
Ethical Issues
Reliability
Validity
Example (preferably a study on truancy if possible)
Representativeness
Theoretical Issues
Evaluate
Data

Compare
Another
Method

The 'perverted' is around the method, you'll just need to adapt it to truancy
Hope this helps and I'm not too late!

How would you include truancy in it?
