Just lots of love and affection should do the trick

And can I also say 'aww'!

Sore throat sweets? Teddy bear? Lol. For a minute I thought this thread was about someone having a girlfriend that was into...sick things.

Would a small bit of flowers be over the top?

Nooo! It'd be lovely!

When I had a sore throat, my boyfriend brought me a tub of Ben and Jerry's, it was yummy and soothed my throat . Perhaps?

Throat sweets and giving her plenty of hot drinks and soup would be cool too. I'm sure she'll be really happy whatever you do, you're being really thoughtful.

Lots of tissues! And what about a hot watrer bottle - they're comforting. Whatever you bring, she'll be really pleased, that's so sweet!

bring a soppy DVD as well, something like "You've got Mail" etc, something you can cuddle up under a quilt with and make her feel better! Tissues are a must, make sure they have extra balsam stuff, and a treaty thingie like the ice cream is a fab idea! Just anything that's unusual and special will make her feel loved and not alone, which is what we all want when we're ill!

Reply 12

Aww, you're so sweet! Lots of halls soothers/nice cough sweets, a teddy, her favourite comfort food (chips? Pizza? Peanut butter toast?)

When I was ill my boyfriend made sure I had plenty of chocolate, hot chocolate, kept me in bed, brouhgt up afew films to cudde up to and watched, made a fuss over me (which is something I do like now and again)

Most of all he made me feel loved and made me relise he would do anything for me which shoed and proved he loved me and there's no better feeling then that!

Die Hard trilogy and a keg of XXXX. Or maybe make her some cookies/flapjacks and bring a nice get well card.

A big cuddle! Would cheer anybody up who is unwell! But thats wouldnt exactly get rid of the cold lol you would need a cup of warm water, honey and lemon (it works my dad made it for me when i was ill a couple of weeks ago)! But if you want to make her feel better then take her some flowers or something sweet like that, dont go completely over the top because she is ill and all the presents and everything might be a little overwhelming especially if she is run down and tired too, but yeh a big cuddle is probably the best cure!
