Best Place for nightlife in UK?

Ill be turning 22 in March and would like to venture outside of Birmingham for some good nightlife!

I've been to Manchester and didn't rate it that highly & also iv'e been to Liverpool but didn't witness the nightlife as I was with my ex at the time lol.

Anyone got good places to go to (cities). Looking at something not too expensive but a great time!

Thanks!
Newcastle! I don't know anyone who's been on a night out in Newcastle who has thought a different city was better.

Seconded. Pretty well-reputed(/notorious) for its nightlife but it depends what scene you're into.
I live in a rural town called Llandudno, it's not far from Craig-y-don which is also a wild time in my opinion, however I would prefer Llandudno for the sole purpose of interaction and entertainment!
I must warn you of one thing though, the elder people in this town are very feisty, and i mean feisty. If you're into cougars or GILFS then get yo ass down here and enjoy your weekend as much as possible. Drinks are cheap, and the biggest nightclub here is called Ty Llewellyn. A lot of younger people go and leave such amazing reviews of this town. You should look it up on http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Tourism-g190724-Llandudno_Conwy_County_North_Wales_Wales-Vacations.html

Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool and Glasgow are all pretty decent.

London if you are into something specific and have the money.
I've never been to Newcastle but I've heard it's got amazing nightlife. London is going to be hard to beat, but unless you said cheap so that gets ruled out straight away lol. Heard good things about Sheffield and I can only speak highly of Nottingham, fantastic choice of bars and nothing is that far away from each other really.
Newport, Shropshire. It may sound like a boring place, but the night life is something else.
I've only been out in London but I can confidently say it's got a bit of everything and caters to many different crowds. If your into house especially, it's home to some of the best venues in the world.
Glasgow

I've been to Leeds for a night out before and it's the only city that I reckons comes close to Newcastle.

So, there is this new place JUST opened in London, it is super classy and affordable. This venue may be more for post graduate students, rather than a first year party kid but the beers are like 4 pounds, and cocktails are are like 6 pounds. Happy hour is 50% off (monday - saturday 4 to 6 pm). It is called City Izakaya, it is in Moorgate. Y'all would love it! Check us out.

If £4 beers is a selling point in London I know to steer well clear.

I've been to all the good northern cities for nightlife: Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and Newcastle, and can say that from my experience, Leeds eclipses all the others. Although you could say this is bias as granted i am a leeds student, but the so-called 11th best club in the world, digital (Newcastle) was nowhere near the likes of my favourite clubs in Leeds, which are Beaver Works, Club Mission, Wire and Mint Warehouse. Also, digital has 4 rooms, just like Mission and Beaver, but only boasts a capacity of 1400, while the two Leeds monsters boasts 2500+.

I went to the best-rated club in Liverpool, Kingdom (forgive me if I'm wrong scousers), and the bouncers were scumbags, the club booths that we were sitting at weren't cleaned and smelled like pig****, plus didnt rate the tunes but that is subjective. I went to South in Manchester and is the only one that comes close to Leeds. The staff were friendly and nice, the style of the club was better than the leeds clubs and the drinks weren't badly priced. The tunes were still nowhere near better the leeds djs. That title goes to Beaver Works. If you ever have one night at Leeds, it must be Beaver Works.

The problem Ive found in the Leeds clubs is that the favourites are badly located. Beaver Works is nowhere near the student village, Hyde Park. Mint Warehouse is in Holbeck, which is in a very dodgy area, right by the RLD. Its a good thing Ubers are piss cheap in Leeds. Pryzm, Mission and O2 are smack bang in the city tho which is good.
