Is an ionic bond considered an intermolecular force when in a giant ionic lattice?

Help
Electrostatic forces
No. Intermolecular forces (as the name suggests) occurs between molecules.

Electrostatic attractions hold ionic lattices together.

Intermolecular forces occur between molecules, such as van der waals forces, or hydrogen bonding.

Ionic bonds are created between oppositely charged ions and helps to keep them in a lattice structure.
