The Student Room Group

slightly confused

im in the 6th form and started helping out in a subject department a few weeks ago. well this student teacher who helps out the teachers in the department sometimes talked to me or smiled at me whenever he saw me helping out in the department with a group of lower school children at a table outside the classrooms. well ive started wearing mini skirts with tights. not for attention or to look slutty but because i liked the outfit. well he can never keep his eyes off my legs, even when hes talking to a teacher he turns away from him to look at me. once when i was in the corridor with a friend, he had his back turned away from me, but once he turned around to see who was coming, and took a double take and just stared at my legs. my friend said he looked like he wanted to talk to me but i blatently knew he was looking at my legs...

well i dunno if it is wrong or what not... hes about early to mid 20's and is only a student teacher. he hasnt done anything except stare. he only started talking to me when he found out i help out in the same department as him. lyk we have something in common if you get me..
i just dont know what to do, cos either way im going to have him on my tail even if i wear a mini or not. i dont mind him talking to me, its just the memories of him checking me out...

He sounds like a creep, ignore him

em does it sound like he fancies me? i mean like is it acceptable for a early to mid twenties to fancy someone in their late teens? regardless of his job.. (because his job makes it illegal for him to start something)

Yes it sounds like he fancies you. but its just not right!

If he does it now whats going to stop him when hes 30+....

erm, its acceptable morally for him to fancy you I would say, given the age difference. Professionally it isn't though.

yeh i mean im 19 and my bfs 23 (i was 18 when we got together), the age difference wouldnt be the problem, its the fact hes a teacher (or student teacher...not much difference in the eyes of the law)

does it sound like from what i said that he might attempt something with me?
im just worried....once last week i was in a classroom with friends talking to my old english teacher and he walks in and gives me a little smile and glances at my elgs. he might have just been being friendly...i dunno..i know im not over analysing or being paranoid but what if he cant help but stare...like how in men its psychological or something and they cant help staring

what can i do?

Hey, he sounds like he's a pervert. How old are you? 16?

Although you're in the 6th form he's still taking on the role of a teacher, wether he's assisting or not.

Yes it is wrong for him to be staring at your legs or any other part of you, the more he does it, the more daring he'll get and the longer his stares will become.

You should wear trousers if you're allowed to. I know it ruins your style but until you can put him off somehow. I'd tell all your friends about this too, then he'll be embarassed!

it ruins my style wearing trousers...will glaring at him if he stares at me work?

Reply 10

no he'll glare back, and if you think glaring is all you can do then there's no point then.

Reply 11

why would he glare back? shouldnt it make him think that i dont like the staring

Reply 12

If he's a pervert, and he sounds like he is, he'll glare right back at you.

I'll do this if I like someone. (but not to schoolgirls I might add!) lol

Reply 13

onestly its getting me uncomfortable. everytime i see him i get a shock. once i jumped when he appeared out of nowhere. come to think of it, i think i remember him looking at me when i was in jeans..well he wasnt looking at my legs just looking at me. and now im wearing minis, his looks are concentrated more on my legs. and well i dont dislike him at all, hes a nice man i just dont want him staring at my legs.

Reply 14

does he do it to other girls in skirts?

Reply 15

i havnt seen him looking at anyone else...
ill check to see if its just me he fancies or if he is like this with every girl in skirts...

Reply 16

Ah, if he was staring at you when you were wearing jeans then I think he likes you a lot then. Now that you're wearing more revealing things might make him think that you're doing this for him. (I know you're not).

I guess he's giving you a lot of hints that he likes you. Even though you find those hints creepy, but still he shouldn't be doing it morally and professionally.

Go back to jeans if it makes you feel a bit more comfy, I know it's a shame to have to change your appearance for others than yourself, but i guess you'll have to change things step by step to really try to put him off.

Try picking your nose in front of him  that kind of thing disgusts me lol

Reply 17

picking my 'own' nose disgusts me....lol
maybe ill just avoid him...or just ignore him.
i cant believe this is happening...i mean its unprofessional...i shouldnt even be in this situation, i jumped up once when i saw him and its starting to get to me :frown::frown::frown::frown::frown::frown:

Well ok. Try to avoid him and don't go anywhere alone where you think he might be.

And take up kung-fu

Hopefully it's just a harmless fantasy he's got. I mean would it really make you feel any better if he was looking at other girls too?

Reply 19

no i dont really want him looking at other girls too, thatll make all the other girls uncomfortable.

'harmless fantasy'???? that makes me think that he fantasises and ***** over me!!!!
