Rude guy at dance.

I went to my dance class yesterday and during the freestyle i asked a guy if he wanted to dance and he just frowned at me and said 'no, not really' he didn't even wait to think about it, he blurted it out as soon and i finished the word dance. Luckily my friend (and favourite dance partner) was standing right next to him and said 'i'll dance with you' to spare me the embarassment of having to walk away and sit back down again. But i just thought how rude, fair enough he didn't wanna dance with me but there must be a hundred more pleasant ways of saying it? At first i just thought he didn't wanna dance at that moment, but as soon as i got on to the dance floor with my partner he went and asked my friend to dance. I knew he liked my friend in fact they are out on their first date right now, but just cos he likes her is no reason not to dance with me, its not like i was gonna try it on with him, what's his problem?

I was talking to another guy later on and he was surprised at how rude this guy had been, cos he'd never known anyone at that class to turn down a dance. He said that people are there to dance so why turn someone down.

I was very disappointed, after that i totally lost my confidence and didn't ask anybody else to dance for fear of being rejected and so got fewer dances than i usually would have.

He was just being a ******. People are like that sometimes, perhaps he wanted to dance with the girl he liked and then you came over and he got frustrated...dunno.......

At the time when i asked him, my friend was dancing with someone else it was only between me asking him and getting to the dance floor that she finished her dance and sat down, freeing her up to dance with him.
