So guys I'm researching Surrealism in film for my Film project and I need to do a survey. If you have studied/are interested in film/media/art and even if you aren't please take a minute.

So: has anyone seen any of these films:

    Thanks a million!!

sorry im just getting the hang of posting polls; it should be up now, I hope!

Also; feel free to add any comments about the films you did see (i.e. how weird/surrealist/mainstream/etc you thought they were)
    Thanks again

    Yep, seen Eraserhead.

A very strange film, but I enjoyed it.

Cool, although I haven't actually seen any of them! :teehee:

I did see Lynch's Blue Velvet the other day, which was surreal and rather grotesque.

Yeah, all of Lynch's work is surreal, so I tried to pick the weirdest one! But yes I agree about Blue Velvet

I found the eye bit rather grotesque, but wasn't the director's intention to shock the audience? I hated my art teacher and I didn't pay much attention to that film.

Yeah, exactly but its interesting how they do it like its just random violence with no real explanation or aftermath and same, my art teacher ruined art for me at GCSE:mad:

I've seen Only God Forgives, it's the only film I've ever seen where I honestly have no idea if I liked it or not.
