Hi has any one done this course Business BTEC Level 2 Diploma if so what is involved in the course how hard is it what units do you do and where can it take you after you compted te course. plase tell me your storys if you have done this course I am in quite hard posion at the moment. Dont know weather to go in to plastering or busines btec.

  • Core Unit 1: Business Purposes: this unit examines the different activities undertaken by a range of businesses;
  • Core Unit 2: Business Organisations: this examines aims and objectives of different businesses;
  • Core unit 3: Financial forecasting: this introduces you to the world of business finance, focusing on the importance of budgets, break even and cash flows;
  • Core unit 4: People in organisations: this provides an insight into a range of roles and responsibilities in the working environment.

You will also look into setting up your own fictional company and cover a unit based on team working where you will have to work as a group to accomplish an agreed project.
What is the BTEC Level 2 Diploma equivalent to?
If you achieve an overall pass grade or better this will equate to 4 GCSEs, grade C and above. A distinction overall will allow you to progress to a BTEC National Diploma, subject to meeting normal college requirements.

I have done level 2 and 3 and enjoyed both years that I have now gone onto studying a degree in business. Business is a very good subject to go into as it is very broad which means that there is many areas that you could specialise in and there are plenty of jobs out there.

The good thing about BTEC's are that they are more practical so it is not all theory based which allows you to learn it in a different way which is normally more interesting.

I would definitely recommend doing a BTEC in business
