Well that doesn't matter at all, because of the pathetic state of this nations health, apparently the average size of girls is size 16!

You should instead me more focussed on what your BMI is

dude bmi is useless, according to that crap, im 31 but i pass my fitness tests and i always get told im well built and toned, so according to bmi im slowly dying but according to the tests, im fit to fight, i'll stick to the calipers and density tests and fitness tests

What is the age of the boy and girl we're talking about?

What do you think is the average weight of a male who is

5"6 around 130-160lbs
5"8 about 130-160lbs
5"10 about 145-175lbs
6"0 about 170-180lbs

Based on my own weight (6'2" - 220lbs) and rough knowledge of friends weights

What do you think is the average weight of a female who is

5"2 about 100-110lbs
5"4 about 110-120lbs
5"6 about 125lbs
5"8 about 130lbs

Based on weights of Girls I know.

Average weights are hard to guess, many people I know match these kind of figures but I do know some extreme examples. i.e. 6'6" men who weigh only around 160-170lbs and 5'6" men who weigh 180-200lbs.

That's because BMI is not intended to be used on athletes/soldiers etc., it is for people with average levels of muscle and predominantly to gauge exactly how overweight an obese person is.

ah someone who understands, you might know but i cant ever remember what the meds call it but what is the test where the pinch random and sometimes intimate parts of my anatomy with calipers, theres a name and i cant remember it:mad:

Reply 13

It's to determine body fat % and is called a skinfold test (that might not be a standard name though).

Average for all is quite high, considering we're a nation of fatasses.

I'm 3 foot 6 and 355lbs. Should I put on weight? I always feel hungry but I never let myself eat anything.

At 6'3" I would hope you'd want to weigh a little more than 190lbs. That's still pretty skinny at that height.

I'm 5'10" and my ideal weight is 190lbs.

I'm 6 ft and would like to be 195 lb at 8% BF. Currently 185 at maybe 11-12% BF (guesstimate based on looking at my abs).

I don't think so; that's 13.5 stone, which sounds a little chubby, for 5'10. 11 stone sounds more desirable, for that height. Why are we all working in lbs, anyway? What was it that's been said about the Americanisation of the UK?
