Oil companies I think, they use geologists as prospectors for new oil fields. Mining companies (surprisingly big market, all the little known metals used in computers and micro-chips), earthquake agencies in affected countries, not to mention universities. But these are organisations that hire someone to use their geology degree. There are plenty of grad. jobs that require someone to simply have a degree, doesn't matter what field.

Mineral mining is booming at the moment. My uncle works in Oz and travels all over the world with his company. He's well paid and he did geology at Bristol. Be prepared to travel and work in some remote places during your career but the rewards are there for experienced people. He loves it!
