Canadian studying at Leicester! Help please? : )

So I am new to this forum, please be kind!:colondollar:

I am a Canadian student, eh! Finished up my bachelors and I am now planning to accept my offer at Leicester for a 2 year LLB program!

Just wondering if there are any Canadian students studying at Leicester that I can get in contact with? Also, for those who aren't Canadian, I still need your help! What/who has the best accommodation? Should I stick to the uni accommodation or go for something like Code or West-manor?

Anyone have experiences with these companies? Please let me know! My budget is around 100-150/week. I am looking for my own kitchen and an ensuite (own shower/bathroom). Any help would be appreciated! Thanks Guys!

Hi
I am not Canadian but German and started my postgraduate study at Leicester last year. I live in accommodation called the zone and I would recommend it to anyone. It is in a nice and convenient location and you get your own studio apartment for 138£ pw .
let me know how you get on

I have an accommodation available and it has it's own private bathroom but shared kitchen. The price is only £105 per week. You can check out the accomodation at the link below!

thanks! also, did you look into international banking stuff yet?
Hello

I have been living at CODE for 2 years now and have booked my room for next year it is brilliant. You can have your own space when you need or want it but you can then go and use all the communal areas to socialise and meet new people. They have regular parties and events to meet new people and try to get everyone together often.
With the rooms you have your own space with a lovely ensuite bathroom and kitchen area, perfect if you do not want to have to worry about anyone else's mess.

I would always recommend CODE! So many great features!

I'm staying in opal court. For my second year I'll look for off campus housing. Once I get there I could see which one is the best.

So have you already got your room booked and all? Also did you get a studio?

I'm pretty sure I'm going with HSBC for banking. I've opened an account in Canada, now I'm beginning the process of opening one in the UK. I also had to open a GBP account in Canada too. Heard it takes about a month for everything to process so make sure you plan ahead!
Hey!
I'm a Canadian from Ontario taking the 2 year senior law program! I chose to stay at Nixon over Opal though. (My friend who just came back from there recommended Nixon) if anyone on here wants to start a group in facebook to talk about the big move let me know!
Hey! I think that's a great idea. I'm from BC and would love to connect with other Canadians. Do you have a Facebook group?

I did, booked my flights too. If you haven't done so suggest you get on that because it could take a while to get it due to the high volume of applications right now.
