    Carl

Hi, I'm Carl and I'm an independent candidate in the TSR Election. If elected this will be my third term in office, but my principles haven't changed.

In the TSR Parliament I wish to represent not only my views and beliefs, but also those of the people who I represent. A party does not give the leeway to does this. Without a party I have the freedom to negotiate legislation and gain a workable majority for whatever legislation I propose. I believe rational consideration of legislation is more important than futile, ideologically charged rubbishing of each other's ideas.

    What are my beliefs?

I'm broadly pro-Europe, and something of a social democrat. I believe in a liberal market economy with sufficient government intervention to ensure that everyone benefits from the wealth created by the British economy. I support controlled immigration and believe in the ideals of the NHS and national school system

What if I have my own concerns?

Feel free to PM me before, during or after the election with your concerns. At the moment I can't guarantee a reply due to my uni course, but I'll try my best. Happy voting!
    The Conservative Party

The TSR Conservative Party has long stood for traditional British values, while embracing modern trends and ideas. We believe in small, but strong government that will be dedicated to the National Health Service, Education, Defence and Domestic Order. At the same time, we believe in limiting the scope of government to prevent abuses of public liberty, and wasteful interference with the economy. As such we hope to accomplish the following in the next session of Parliament:
    • · An Audit of government spending, followed by budget reforms and an end to unfair taxation on productive members of society.
·A reform of the criminal justice system to ensure that offenders do not return to the system.
·A new system of corrections to deal with the epidemic of youth deliquency.
·A cessation of the system of ‘child-benefit farming.’ In the process youth pregnancy and wasteful spending will be curtailed.
·The elimination of Political Correctness, Positive Discrimination and Racial, Ethnic, Gender or Religion targetted spending. At the same time we will stand by our belief in equality, and strengthen our resolve to stop violence and bigotry in our nation.
·A comprehensive reform of the UK’s immigration policy. The new Immigration policy will also prevent

    The Monster Raving Loony Party

Friends! TSRians! Lesser spotted pygmy possums! Lend us your ears!
    (We’ll return them next Tuesday)

    Vote Monster Raving Loony

The TSR House of Commons is already a farce, so let's make it official.
While the other parties bicker over a bit imaginary power, we are passing Loony legislation that makes TSR a happier place. As the party that likes to party, we think life should be about having fun, not sticking to bureaucracy and tradition that nobody understands.

Elect us and we will bring a new era of peace, prosperity, and pogo sticks, thanks to our loony policies including
    :

Environment – Covering roads in Astroturf for a greener Britain
Law and Order - Anyone caught breaking the law will be made to mend it.
Defence – Painting the White Cliffs of Dover blue for camouflage
Economy – Inviting other countries to join the pound

    Plus,
    A Comprehensive Review on Headwear!
As the party who changed parliamentary bills to “Ashleys”, in the name of equality,
we propose that no employer should discriminate against workers who wish to wear top hats.

Do you really care about the TSR parliament?

If no, Vote Monster Raving Loony
    -Serious about being funny.

May I say that in this time where environmental issues are coming to the forefront, very few parties seem to have an interest in such important issues to address them in their statements.

Environmental issues are vastly important and potentially without addressing them all other efforts and changes could be futile within a few decades.

On the environment we need to act now and on a wide scale.

We consume far too much of everything as a society and we need to try and reduce this. It is amazing how much we can all do, on the small scale, to make big changes if we all work together.

Right from individuals efforts up to Governmental efforts on a natio9nal and international scale a difference can be made. Improvements for the future can be made. TSR Labour Party already has plans in place, ready to go in the next session which we would like to see implemented. Additional work and support from across the party spectrum will allow us to further tackle environmental issues. I just wish we had seen more support from the other parties on such issues in their statements.

The Liberal Democrats believed that their stance on the enviroment was clear, hence its ommision from the manifesto. Bar the Green party, we are most likely the most enviromentally geared party.

Whilst we do not feel the need to shove 'green' down everyone's throat we do believe a change in the attitude of joe bloggs to the climate is required and that this will be achieved under our reign.

How are people expected to know your stance on the environment unless you tell them? Many of the voters here will be unfamiliar with the goings on in the Parliament. You cannot expect them all to know everything which has gone on in their can you?

If you truely felt compassion for environmental issues and felt that people should and do care about the environemtn then you wouldn't have left it to chance they knew how your party felt. You would have told them.

In Labour Party we believe the environment is one of the key issues. It is our future. Without it there is nothing else. You need to tackle all aspects of the environemtn - from what the everyday person on the street can do, to what the global community can do.

Emission trading is using the new carbon credits system and allowing companies to sell the rights to produce a set amount of emissions to each other. Its basically a form of environmental currency which promotes those with less emissions by allowing them to profit from their environmentally friendly means.
