Well i'm back from hospital. Had 3 wisdom teeth out.

Well i'm back. Wasn't as bad as i thought it would be !!

Really nice private hospital. Really sweet nurses, and they looked after me very well. And mum was with me all the time.

Anaesthetic was actually ok !!!. Had a pre-med, so was sooooo relaxed.
It happened really quickly. As soon as i was asleep, i was woken up in recovery. Very weird. injection didn't hurt.

On loads of strong pain meds. Can't eat anything, except ice cream,& jelly.

I don't suppose there's any chance that after I have my shoulder op done next month that my mouth will somehow be affected and I'll only be allowed to eat ice cream and jelly...?

Nuts.

apparently the pain is worse about 2-3 days after the op.

for me i wont be able to eat ice cream. the one wisdom tooth has damaged a molar in front so i won't be able to have hot/cold stuff until i get a filling. which wont be for 3 weeks after the op!

In a few days it will be fine! I had them all out but at the dentist. I was given the option of the hospital but I don't like them! One tooth was in the wrong position and had literally to be cut out from under the gum-it was really, really painful for a few days but did get better.
Expect your jaw to hurt and be careful of not sleeping on the side of your face tonight. Also, it is wise to use an old cushion cover tonight as there may be a tiny amount of bloody dribble-sorry! It doesn't mean anything bad, just your saliva glands won't be as effective due to swelling and saliva will mix with dried blood a bit. Just keep taking painkillers every 4 hours tonight, in the morning it won't be quite as bad. Good luck!

It'll be fine in a few days/week. the swelling i got [on the second day] lasted a week! But i got out of work..! Hope you feel better soon, get some paracetemol down you!
