convert voltage to displacement

Hi there,

not sure why i cant get my head round this it seems very easy but anyway:

i have varying voltages measured from an accelerometer. how do i convert these to acceleration, then displacement amplitudes?

cheers

You need to be much more specific. The voltage output from the accelerometer is already proportional to acceleration, that's the whole point. Do you mean you want a numeric display of the acceleration, that you want to convert that output into actual acceleration (drive or motion)?
Hi There I have a similar question.

I have a seismic record (geophone) which is in voltage numerical values (ASCII) format which is proportional to velocity. I need to convert this to numerical values of displacement in cm. What is the simplest way to do this?
