I was thinking about this today.

Say you left university, and either:

- Couldn't find employment
- Had a change of heart
- Found a job, realized the field you studied and went into was not you
- Gut feeling told you to do something different

I'm pretty sure this scenario will not happen to me, but what would your back up plan be if all else fails?

I would probably try to become a personal trainer and move somewhere warm or just use the money I have saved, pack up and travel the world.

With a 1st class BA from Oxbridge, I should be able to work in the city if medicine ever falls through for some reason.

I've been thinking about this and I think I would aim to be as sensible as possible in order to ensure a stable financial future. So with that in mind- I wud marry my guinea pig Hector and we wud elope to da south of France and open a sex shopp. I kno dat der wud me judgments but truu luv wud carry us through.

I'm good at drawing & writing (subjective opinion, but still), I'd actually enjoy a bit to fail in my career, because I wouldn't feel the pressure to succeed anymore. I'd probably end up an unsuccessful artist, like so many others.

My plan would be to emigrate too but you do you know that it is very hard to get a visa for the States? You need to get offered a job first. Plus New York is a very expensive city to live in, you'd need a lot more money than simply the costs of the flight.

My choice would be Europe personally.

teach myself coding and become a game dev.

I imagine it's probably more difficult than that but there's the idea...

Run. Spend my savings on a ticket somwhere and just spend the rest of my life running. Don't need much food; pack of pittas would last me a week and they're about 50p.
