I have a few chapters left of Great expectations but have read that there is an empire/industry theme, but besides Magwitch (the convict) who gets sent to Austrailia, what ele is there meant to be?

I'm doing the AS Victorian lit AQA module, and industry and empire is one of the themes. With a theme such as Women I know exactly how to link in the books I've read to the contexual linking question. However, idk how I would link a passage in the exam to empire? The book hints at no personal thoughts towards empire or industry? And none of the books I' ve read really do that.

E.g with Women in society I could talk about how A Doll's Hosue strays from these norms, or how Picture of Dorian Gray conforms to the norms of soicety but how would I talk about industry/empire?
