I applied for a pgce primary last year, and I was unsuccessful after interview at one university and I had interviews at another two places but I decided not to go ahead, which actually turned out for the best as I failed half my final year and didnt get a 2.2. However, I applied for Early Years Teacher Training and got accepted luckily, im forever grateful for that, its a new course, but there were hundreds of applicants for 15 spaces on my route. I have 4 months left and hopefully i will qualify and although it wasnt what i originally wanted to do and still isnt, it has opened many doors and opportunties for me. It will take longer but there is more than one way to skin a cat so to speak. Ive just been offered a job at a college to work as a learning support assistant with Special Needs students and Ive accepted it while I study as I also now intend to want to teach post 16 (disabled learners) and you need alot of experience, I feel this will help me alot. Keep trying, if you really want to do it, you will find a way. Thats just my story, I keep on pushing forward and not giving up on life, as its hard being not goodenough and rejection. Good luck. Follow different paths!
