Currently I live in Brighton which is nice and I like the touristy atmosphere but unfortunately one of the most expensive places to live in the UK.

I have a job making apps which I can do anywhere really.

So I'm thinking of moving somewhere cheaper. Got any good ideas?

Somewhere...

not too quiet.
with good nightlife.
not too scummy.
quite artsy maybe.
nice scenery.
friendly.
youngish age range.
maybe close to the coast.

Got any good ideas? Any secret places in the UK like this?

You'll probably want to move up North then. Manchester being the most obvious place.
