Pain

For the past two weeks I've had this really bad pain in my lower jaw on the right hand side. At first I thought it might be a dental thing because I'd been to the dentist three days previously and they had said they needed to take x-rays. They later got back to me and said that all my x-rays were clear of what they were looking for (on the other side of my jaw) and that I didn't need to go back. The pain didn't start until after this.

I don't know what it could be. The pain was quite constant at first but now it comes and goes and seems worse when I eat or close my mouth completely. I don't know what to do as I hate going to the doctors because our local surgery is a dump, the doctors are rubbish and it takes ages to get an appointment. I worry it might be something serious though, or soemthing that might need to be seen to eg wisdom teeth but surely the dentist would have said something?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Could it be muscular? Is the pain up by the ear?

I don't think it is muscular as the pain is mostly in the bone under the teeth but occasionally the pain does travel up past the ear and into the top row of teeth. I thought maybe the dentist had stretched my mouth too far open at first but it's been going on for 2/3 weeks now.

oohh, i have this too. except it's my left side. and it clicks every time i open and close my mouth. not very painful but i worry that i'll one day be yawning and unable to close my gob or something. hahahah that would be terrible.
