Just be yourself, most friendships just grow naturally.

When you make new friend/s and want to hang with them, how do you say it without being pushy or needy? should I say i'm pretty much on my own and get their pity? Or should I just wait for the friendship to grow naturally and have some patience?

Have patience. Most people won't want to hear, "I haven't got any friends; will you be my friend?" because it scares them, sadly. Just be normal, nice, amenable, don't ask too many favours and be willing to do a lot of things for the other person, and they'll soon grow to like you without you having to be pushy in any way.

Just go to everything they invite you too. Try to get out of stuff.

For example when I met some new guys who seemed pretty cool I somehow got out of going to my maths 3 hour catch-up class.

Just dont miss anything they invite you too, shows commitment and the fact that they can rely on you goin out etc.

hmm.. i wouldn't play the pity card.. it would make them wonder why you have no-one to go out with ... you could just let the friendships progress and then maybe sugest going out or something
