I'm pretty sure I'm going to take Separate Sciences and Geography as 2 of my 3 options. The last one is the one I'm struggling with. I'm torn between History and Spanish. On the one hand, I've nearly finished my French GCSE (our school is a language specialist) and it has actually been quite enjoyable this year, and my teachers have said since I'm already familiar with languages at GCSE Spanish will be a break from revision heavy subjects like the sciences and geography (the language teachers at my school are very persuasive) . However, history to me is more enjoyable but my geography teacher said two humanities would be far too much work combined with separate sciences (my history teacher was more relaxed and seemed more optimistic). And it will only get harder from here so would I be better taking something I enjoy or what?? I just want some help; history or Spanish?? What do you recommend with my other two options??

Spanish is so simple and easy to get an A star in + your school specializes in languages which is great.

History for gcse is probably one of the most challanging of them all. You have to write long controlled assesment essays and be able to memorise multiple facts and dates for exams, as well as having to take long exams. Spanish all the way. I do both and would say Spanish is better as EVEN if you want to do history at A level you can do it without really needing it for gcse, but this is not the case with Spanish. So I conclude by saying SPANISH ALL THE WAY!

Thank you, that's really helpful, I think I might just end up going with Spanish. I'll have one last think in the next few days but yeah, chances are it'll be Spanish I pick.
