IS anyone going with you?

No I can't get anyone till 7 coz of work n college for people but i'd really prefer to just make my own way if I can before this time

oy dude, ask your doctor this question. Not us. It'll depend on how much they give you, what time they give it, what you've eaten and drank, your body mass etc etc, so ask them before they jab you.

Could you not get a taxi to pick you up from the hospital?

Reply 5

Personally i don't think it's wise walking through town on your own after an operation.

It all depends on how you react to the anaesthetic - everyone is different.
Your doctor will tell you when it is safe for you to go home alone - no-one on here can tell you.

Nor do I. Definitely would recommend arranging for a taxi or a lift of some description. Although they won't let you out immediately as soon as you come round, you still need to take it easy and walking around alone might not be the best of ideas. Basically go along with the recommendations of the anaesthetists and the nurses.

You won't be allowed to have the operation.
honestly.
you HAVE to be accompanied home.
get someone to go pick you up. IF they have to have a couple of hours to get to hospital and get you home so be it.

The nurse won't let you go home alone. even in a taxi.

After endoscopy when all you've had is a few migs of midazolam you aren't allowed home unaccompanied. thats a fact.
So i would apply that logic to GA. In fact its probably more important.

Thanks for the responses. By accompanied do you think I might get away with a taxi from door to door I'd just rather not drag people out because I live some way from the 2 people who could give me a lift.

Maybe you should ring the hospital and try and find out what their protocol is. You don't want to be stuck there all day waiting if it turns out you shouldn't go home unaccompanied.
