UCAS and NVQ

hey all:smile:

i hope someone can help.

I took an NVQ level 1 and 2 in Bus admin and passed both of them.
Now i want to put these qualification on my ucas form along with my GCSE's and A-levels.

when i get to the stage to input these NVQ info's - i get stuck.
what do i put in these columns:

Units: - i don't exactly know how many units we did - neither does it say on my certificates?

Result: what do i put here - do i put 'pass' becouse u don't actually get a grade just a pass/fail.

thanks

Ring up UCAS

Or don't bother putting them in but put it in your personal statement

What is a NVQ, what is it equivilant to, can you put it on your UCAS form and does it gain any interest by unis.

Just asking because I might do a NVQ

An NVQ is a National Vocational Qualification. It can be done at several levels such as pre GCSE, GCSE & A Level & has mixed feelings among Universities. The top universities e.g. Oxbridge, LSE e.c.t won't see any advantage in you having an NVQ, even if you passed it with the highest grade possible & will expect you to have three or four good A-Levels as well. Whereas at the other end, you have Universities like some of the ex Polys and some of the newer London Universities e.g. London South Bank, Greenwhich, Westminster e.c.t who might accept you onto courses without A-Levels if you have a good pass in an NVQ as well as the C's in English & Maths GCSE.

And yes, you can put it down on your UCAS Forms
