how to get someone to speak

My mum said to my dad in front of me that shes not speaking to me, ever. We live in the same house, Ive tried flickig an elastic band in her face but she just got quietly mad and hit me. Any ideas?

I don't think flicking rubber bands in her face is the best way to make her like you.

Maybe write her a heartfelt letter?

well I started off slow and flicked harder and harder until she hit me, it was the only thing I could think of, hm I could write a letter but I don't want to give in to her, plus im not the soppy type. I'l do it if nothng else works.
