GCSE: Passes at grade C or above in Mathematics, English and Double Award Science.

A minimum of 340 UCAS Tariff Points to include grades AAB (including 2 science subjects from Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology plus B in one other subject). VCE Double Award Science acceptable.

So yes it is essential to do chemistry, and unfortunately you wouldn't get a place if you only have Biology.

Hy does anyone no wat the scottish entry requirements for optometry are at coleraine ?And what r the fees for scots.

You don't need chemistry if you have bio and another science (maths or physics).
