Politics at St Andrews?

I just received an offer from St Andrews to study English Literature, which I'm obviously really happy about!!

However, I was hoping to use the three course system they have there in order to keep studying Politics as well, but I've just realised they don't offer it.
I was wondering if anyone could advise me as to whether there are any similar courses offered at the university. I'm especially interested in the theoretical/ideological side of the subject.

St Andrews doesn't have a School of Politics, but a School of International Relations. We do have strengths in international political theory - with a specialised masters degree in it - but you wouldn't be taking anything IPT related until third or fourth year.

While it is possible to take IR as a third subject, it is massively over-subscribed and so they run a ballot system at advising for those who have met the IR entry requirements (which I think are AAA) and who would like to take it as a third subject. But there are no guarantees.
