Help! Cranfield M.Sc. Interview

Hey guys,

I've got a mail from Cranfield that they'd like to interview me for the M.Sc-Finance and Management program. I've applied to 8 other universities and haven't been contacted by any for an interview. Is it usual for a university to conduct an interview for the M.Sc-Finance program?

Anyways, what do you think they will ask me in the interview? Should I prepare for the interview? I know people who've been interviewed by Cranfield for its MBA program, but, obviously, the questions would differ for the M.Sc interview, or will they? Should I mention my GMAT score if they ask me about my academic qualifications?

Can some one tell me a list of questions that UK universities ask in an interview?

My interview is on December 5th.

Edit- Is the interview a positive sign i.e. are they happy with my application, or is it a negative sign i.e. the fact that they're interviewing me for a M.Sc. program?

Dear Mr Batra

As your degree is not equivalent to a UK Honours degree, your application will have to be submitted to our Faculty Board for approval. In order to support your case, the Course Director, Professor Sudi Sudarsanam, has requested that I arrange a telephone interview with you. May I therefore suggest Tuesday, 5 December or Wednesday, 6 December between 10:30–11:30 (our time) 16:00-17:00 (your time) for this interview.

Your confirmation that this timing is convenient would be appreciated, together with your contact telephone number.

Please could you arrange for your references to be sent to us at your earliest convenience.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards
Hilary
