i have extremely irregular periods.i tend to only have one or two a year,if that.ive not got an eating disorder,im a healthy weight,wouldnt say im stressed.
anyway i came on yesterday after not having had a period for over a year but it is so heavy.im going through a super plus tampon every hour or two and its just really horrible.
why?should i go to the doctor?

If you even need to ask "should I go to a doctor?" it means yes you should.

One or two a year? I'd definitely advise going to see your doctor!

Do you use the pill? or the contraceptive Implant?

no im not on the pill.definitely not pregnant,so it isnt a miscarriage.

There are various things that can cause irregular periods, such as PCOS. None of us can tell you why this is happening - you need to go to a doctor and ask about it. It coul be something trivial, or it could be something serious, so do go and get it checked out.

How long have you had this? 1 or 2 a year certainly isn't normal. I don't think you should have let the get to the stage where you are measuring in years before seeing your doctor. You should ASAP.
