My new b/f is quite shy I dont want to take things to fast.. or slow

My new b/f is really sweet and I think this could really go somewhere. problem is hes quite a shy person and his friends have told me to take it slowly. However I am alo worried about taking it TOO slowly I don't want to bore him by not doing anything....Just realised how pathetic this question is but i really just want reassurance :P any1 here ever been with a shy guy? how should I handle this?? :confused:

To be quite honest with you: if I were the guy, and I were shy(hey, i rhyme!), I would just want you to take some initiative... as the above poster says, just jump on top of him! Bring out the inner extrovert inside him, and he'll be forever greatful (and there's an extrovert in everyone... i'm an ex-introvert myself)!

take it at whatever pace your comfortable at i think is best...but talking to him is probs best :p:

And make sure that you tell him to tell you if he thinks things are going too fast, and that you won't be offended if he tells you to stop! And once he's got going, you need to make sure that if you need to tell him to stop or slow down, he'll be ok with that as well.

Ok, we're dealing with a guy who's shy, NOT a nervous wreck, terrified of making one mistake. OP, just talk to him. Find out how he feels about the speed it's going at. Even if he is shy, if you're going out, you should both feel comfortable enough to tell each other how you feel it's going.
