According to Simon Danczuk people think Miliband is more of a toff than Cameron, and voters would rather have a pint with Cameron over Miliband. Seems a pretty damning assessment to me.

A quote from the most maverick of MPs who flirted with UKIP.
Not really a damning assement, more just making a fool of himself.

Didn't see you make a thread when various Conservative MPs haev called Cameron all sorts...
Or how about those two MPs who actually left for UKIP?
Political point scoring is great.

So a Labour MP flirting with UKIP=> no credibility, how convenient...
It's also worth pointing out that if miliband is so great, why is his popularity rating lower?

I'd rather have a pint with Karen...

It's unfair but I think the issue is Miliband is just seen as plain awkward, a bit goofy, bit weedy, doesn't have such a statesman's like figure or way to speaking, even the more nasal voice he has doesn't do him favors. It shouldn't be about things like that, it should be policy, but I honestly don't know how he can change it that much..

Yeah UKIP are a horribly closet racist party, as described by your party leader... Anyone associating with them loses credibility.

As for your second question, right wing media.

Lol.

I find it a bit odd that having a Pint is now used as a barometer of normality.

I don't think anyone in the country really wants to have a pint with Miliband, Cameron or Farage.

I think it is more simple. He just doesn't sound or look like a leader.

If you don't even have those basic qualities then no one is going to listen to you.

As for your second question, right wing media.
Not his utter and complete lack of charisma? Failure after failure to seem like a vaguely normal human being? Inability to look beggars in the eye when giving them very small amounts of money? Staging a shoot in his 'tea kitchen' to show what an ordinary down-to-earth guy he is?

Come on. He's a walking, talking disaster.

I think you need to put aside your anti-media rhetoric, involve yourself in the party's internal politics, and stop something like this from happening again. (But please don't, he's a gift.)

Imagine the faces Miliband would pull over a pint if he pulls such ridiculous faces over a bacon sandwich...

No. He was excellent on free speech, in all his recent speeches and was very charismatic. HE regularly beats Cameron at PMQs.
He's done brilliant to keep the Labour party together.
He's also a thoroughly decent person.

It's hardly 'anti media rhetoric' when 85% of the media is controlled by one very right wing man...and the most widely read tabloids are horribly right wing.

Of course he does. Judge him for yourself rather than the media assault on him.

He doesn't help himself though. I, in my life, have not similar faces to the ones that that he pulls apart from someone observing a rotting animal carcass in a confined space.

I said this when he was voted in as leader. He would never be voted in because he has a lisp and he has no photogenic qualities.

His brother would have done significantly better.

Not really. He does. Watch for a change. Cameron merely dodges every question ... 'yeah but you have two kitchens/stabbed your brother in your back etc etc.'

Do you want a salesman or someone of principle?
I don't care if he has a lisp or if he looks good.

His brother would not have. He's far too right wing, I don't want to govern as Tory lite.

Well, the fact you don't care is irrelevant.

I am simply stating what is going to get votes. Labour have done terribly as a result.

Ah, Dave's jokes are great.

Look at Ed's bucktoothed stare in response here and tell me you can picture him in No 10.

Let's not even talk about dodging questions. I thought my reference above was clear enough.
