Hi I'm applying for halls and I was wondering what the halls at Brunel were like. I visited it last year but if I recall correctly, they only showed us the postgrad halls, are they the same/similar to the undergrad ones?

Which are the most sociable? Are there any social areas/sofas etc in the halls?

I'm looking at ensuite, and heard mixed reviews about Mill Hall, what were your experiences, what do you think??

Are all the halls close to the main campus?

I'm looking for lively/sociable halls this year, I know it varies each year so I guess we won't know till we get there.

Any advice would be much appreciated

The postgrad halls are all the newer ones, they may be most similar to Lancaster and Bishop Halls.

Mill Hall is probably the worst en-suite, it's not desirable as it's more like a series of corridors going around a building on each floor that separate flats.

lively/sociable halls isn't something you can really get, you can always meet people during freshers and socialise with your flat mates at the start anyway.

If you're going for en-suite I'd say get Bishops, Lancaster may be a tiny bit nicer and like 30 seconds closer but the windows are shaped like L's which can be quite annoying.
