Ok, i dont think my brain is working at 1am but can anyone help me with this problem if possible.

If you are given 10 mol dm-3 of hcl and 250cm3 volumetric flask. How can you make 0.1 mol dm-3 of hcl solution? Show calculation and describe procedure?

To convert 10 mol dm-3 to 0.1 mol dm-3, you need to dilute down by a factor of 100.

Putting 2.5 cm3 of that acid into the 250 cm3 vol. flask and topping up to the mark will do the trick.

Much more simple would be go back to your lab. tech. and say, "I've got this 10 mol dm-3 HCl solution, do you mind if I swap it for some 0.1 mol dm-3 HCl solution?"
