So, I've always had a thing for St.Andrews:
·I like the look and feel of the Uni.
·Gingers are my thing.
So, when I learnt their entry requirement was 37, 1 point above my predicted (IB), I was upset but accepted my fate.

Now I learn that it's 36 points.
I don't care how it happened, just that now there's no war for me to get there.

Unless our of you lovely bunch knows something or maybe have experience in applying to Uni's with your final grades (gap year is not an option).
So, ideas?

There's no rule that says you can't apply to unis that have higher entry requirements than your predicted marks...

Unfortunately St Andrews is one of the few unis that has not entered Clearing and Adjustment in the last few years, and I find it unlikely that it will do so this year.

Unless it is in Extra (I find this unlikely) then the only way to get an offer will be to take a gap year and apply then. Why do you think that a gap year isn't an option?

another suggestion is to look at other unis. How about Exeter 34-38 points Lancaster and York 36 points and Kent 35 points. These are all excellent unis and in smallish towns like St Andrews. As you did not state your subject I have checked these unis for IB for English and Maths to give you some idea
