Hello,

I want to volunteer at a Nursing Home and The manager told me to get a Adult workforce DBS certificate. I am really confused to where I get this from , is it through the gov website or do i have to go through an external organisation.

Any help is appreciated...

It took me literally 0.5 seconds to type in DBS to Google. Top hit:

https://www.gov.uk/disclosure-barrin...check/overview

Of which I then spent another 3 seconds to find:

Who can ask for a DBS check

An employer can ask for a DBS check for certain roles.

DBS eligibility guidance lists most roles that are eligible for a check. However, the guidance isn’t comprehensive so contact DBS if unsure.

Applicants (job candidates) can’t do a criminal records check on
themselves. Instead, they can request a ‘basic disclosure’ from Disclosure Scotland (you don’t have to be from Scotland to do this).

Seriously, try looking yourself before making a thread next time. It'll take you less effort. You're welcome.
