What in your opinion were some of the most significant historical events for international relations in the period 1879 to 1990?

Include points about why you think each event was significant but also how it WASN'T significant.

Which events do you think had the most impact on international relations?

The treaty of versailles because it basically caused the Second World War by crippling the German economy, taking away german land and just generally treating her very harshly. It also created the League of Nations which was the predecesor to the united nations.

It was un-important because russia wasn't involved so the borders of eastern european nations couldn't be resolved and the USA who originally came up with the League decided to not ratify the treaty, thus making the Leage very weak.
