Help trying to revise functions and looking at my notes but can't understand how I've done this!

The question is find the range of h(x)=(x-2)squared -7
I got h(x) is more than or equal to -7.

Can anyone explain how to get there?

What is the lowest value that (x-2)^2 - 7 takes?

It may help you to think about each term of the equation and the lowest value each one can take.

The domain of the inverse of the function is the range. You can get the inverse by writing the h(x) to y and making x the subject.

You would normally need to complete the square to do that but it seems unnecessary on this case.
