Hi all,

Being a student myself, I exchange study tips with my cousin - who is also a GCSE student. She phoned me this afternoon and told me that she was accused of plagiarism in her Core Science ISA. She scored 45/50 marks.

According to my cousin, she struggled to reword her information in the paper, but she did change a few words.

What can she do, and how will she be penalised?

Not sure if this is about a cousin or a "cousin ".

Happened to a friend of mine (an actual friend, not me :P) with his ICT coursework. He talked with his teacher and was told he'd just have to redo the entire unit from scratch in controlled conditions. He was a bit silly, however (changed nothing just the name at the top of the paper).

Hey I plagiarised an English essay once

Yeah don't be like me, I had to redo it. And I got a better grade! If you are accused of plagiarism in any case, true or not, just see it as a chance and a challenge to do even better, and push the boundary of what you already achieved. (Or not achieved)
