Hi.

I was wondering about the African Studies (with development) course at SOAS. Would current students recommend it? How is the level? Are the lectures in small classes or big? Are students motivated? How many students per course? etc.

I got an offer from SOAS but I also got an offer from Birmingham for African Studies (with development), hence I'm a bit torn between these two universities. Can SOAS be considered a better university or a better place to study about Africa?

I was also wondering about the reputation that SOAS has, as it is not ranked very highly in the league tables, however, I have read that it is still rated quite highly by employers and other universities.

Thanks.
