Hi I'm trying to find a video or pictures of inside Darwin College. I am planning on applying for either Parkwood (5) or Darwin (standard) for my first choice but I haven't seen the inside of the college and I can only find videos of Darwin House.
Also any pro's or con's of these two accommodations.
Thanks in advance.

Parkwood parkwood parkwood; seriously, the people I know living in Darwin say it's bloody awful. Also I quite like my house (I'm in Parkwood) so... there's that

I can't properly talk about Darwin terms of pros and cons but here's some for Parkwood.
Pros-
-Decent Sized Bedroom (with good furniture; not this cheap **** that falls apart all the time)
-Sense of community since your in your own sort of student village (we have our own bar and a small supermarket)
-Fairly close to the gym

Cons-
-10-15 minute walk from main campus
-5 bedroom houses have pretty small kitchens (the 6 bedroom ones are bigger)

That's the only specifics I can think of but honestly, the parkwood houses are just generally nice.

Thank you! Are you in a six or five bedroom house?

Darwin is a complete dump, but this year I know loads of parties and socialising took place there, it's also closer to main campus than Parkwood.

Parkwood for me was boring, it's the 'student village' and it's about a 10/15minute walk to main campus. I was in a flat, which was good, the room was big, had an ensuite, but my flat was boring and no one went out etc. I also never heard any music playing from other rooms/flats, everytime I went outside it was completely dead. I'd say if you were to go for Parkwood, try and get a house as they are more sociable.

Parkwood also has one of the most expensive accommodations, (other than Turing and maybe Tyler I think). So if money is an issue, Darwin would be better.

Parkwood houses aren't expensive, it's the flats that are. I don't know the exact costs but Darwin and Parkwood are both cheap.

Parkwood houses and Darwin College are both of a similar standard really. Darwin kitchens are huge though and I had many a kitchen party there - so so fun. It's also more central, I had lectures and seminars in Darwin and I'd literally get up 20 minutes before they started. Honestly, you'll have a great time in either. I've attached pictures of my room in Darwin. They all pretty much look exactly the same, except for H and P blocks have larger bedrooms which are literally double the size. Also attached a picture of the kitchen.
