I am thinking about doing
English Literature, Mathematics, History and Philosophy.
I was wondering if these would be considered a strong set of choices?
I was considering doing Physics instead of Philosophy but I thought I would enjoy Philosophy more and find it easier but I am told that with Physics it would be a strong set of subjects.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

They are alright but it depends what you want to do at uni or career wise. If you're going into science, You need at least physics with maths but if you're going down the humanities route, then they are good.
Edit: if you're looking for strong A-Levels then you should consider physics. It's one of the harder A-Levels.
