I'm thinking of applying to UCL for Management. I'd be a mature student (23) when I started but I intend to stay in halls and go out partying and everything :yep:

Would I fit in as a mature student? Does UCL have a good SU/societies/clubs etc.? Do they hold Balls like other uni societies do? What's it like in halls? Are there a lot of international students due to it being a London uni and are they less likely to want to go out? Would you say it's a "party uni"?

Thanks

Thanks you at UCL?

I didn't mean just nightlife btw but social life in general. I read on TSR a while back that UoL halls often suck compared to halls at, say, more "campus" unis like Nottingham or Warwick because there are more international students and they often want to click together and don't want to go out partying etc. I get on fine with international people though

No I'm not but my friend goes there, ahh I see what you mean. I can only really comment on the night life not so much the socialisation that goes on at UCL. It is a bit spread out so I see how that can be a problem, but you should be fine as there are loads of people in each hall

Yes it will be considerately more expensive than other places, however if you go out with the SU they usually can make your night quite cheap as they give good discounts and cheap pints. If you got out on your own with your mates then expect to be dishing out a lot. Pre drinks are your friend
