I made a list : http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show...php?p=49223179

If your looking for something to talk about for psychology application forms for uni, its worth skipping the authors that EVERYONE else will have listed (e.g. anything my Malcom Gladwell/Oliver Sacks)

I wouldn't say there are any must have books, as you'd be encouraged to read from journal articles and other primary sources. However I'd invest in a good SPSS and/or research methods book. Andy Field consistently writes well respected books. I graduated in psychology last year and didn't buy many. I got an SPSS book though and two child language learning books that I still read now.
