Hello to all of you who have now officially entered into the TSR Political Party Contest.

In the next week you're going to be looking to form parties, hopefully with other members. Some of you might already have an idea of who you're going to form a party with, but I'm sure some of you have entered this independently and/or don't know who you want to collaborate with.

So please use this thread as a means of finding teammates over the course of the next week. It might be a good idea to post a brief outline of the ideas and concepts you find most important in politics so that you can establish common ground with others who you could form fantastic parties with. Then once you've decided on your teams, one of you can create your party's own official thread in this contest sub-forum which will essentially be your party's HQ!

Even if you're planning to stand independently, we would encourage you to consider working with at least one other person. Think of just how much you could achieve together, coming closer to those attractive voucher prizes. This is a great opportunity to develop teamworking skills and to maybe even make a new friend or two. So please do consider working with at least one other person, even if you'd initially planned to work alone.

After all, the essence of this contest is creating a political party - and most parties are formed of more than one person it has to be said.

Even if you just post saying you're looking for someone/other people to join up with, that's a good starting point. :yy:

Good luck, and feel free to contact myself or Kittiara should you have any questions.

I'm willing to form a party with you.

I'm also liberal, socially left, and economically left. My views are best represented by the Green Party (though I feel that the SNP provide solutions which are slightly more realistic).

I focus on the plight of the commoner. My policies include, but are not restricted to:

-Price cap Pringles to £1.50 per can, unless it is Prawn Cocktail, which is superior and thus can be capped at £1.60
-Groups of people on foot must be an even number, so that no-one is walking alone ahead or behind their friends

My approach would be to keep out of wars as much as possible and try to represent the poorer people amongst our nation more fairly than is currently done. As well as this I would aim to improve the way mental health is dealt with.

Basically I'm mostly green with a few tweaks.

My beliefs tend to be centre-left, and my main focus is on changing the way education is in this country and healthcare (specifically mental health but also physical). I'd like to join with people who are also concerned about education and healthcare, but are also passionate about other areas.

Hello everyone!

I invite you all to join me in the Vision Party. A party representing the (notably absent from british politics) centrists. But it will really be an all inclusive party, which seeks to tackle Britain's problems swiftly, efficiently, and fairly, without too much ideological fuss. We are pragmatists above all, but moreover, we think long-term. We have a vision for Britain and worry about the continuation of its economic and political relevance being maintained throughout the entire century and beyond.

We will bring scientists and academics into politics. People who know the facts and know what must be done. No more traditional politicians who only know who to get votes.

Join us for a fair and bright future! Vote for our vision!

Edit: You can find the link bellow! Be sure to check it out! It's very detailed

I welcome anybody who wishes to declare allegiance to the Victorian Alliance.

Those who've seen me around will probably know loosely what my policy platform will be but for those who have not, it will be a mixture of centrist, economically liberal and conservative policies dependent upon the policy area.

Hi all,

I feel as though I should have made my own party, although it's now a little late for that. Therefore, I'm looking to join a party - lucky you!

In short, I would say that my views are possibly shared most by Chaotic Butterfly, the Green Party probably represent me the most (this is because I am left wing and not because I support them) and I presume people would class me as a left-libertarian. Simple, scientific and transparent are key characteristics for me.

Just some things that I am for:

  • Against TTIP
  • Against HS2
  • Renationalising railways
  • Keeping NHS public and increase funding
  • Reduce military spending to 2% GDP
  • Reduce tuition fees and increase higher education funding (note that I would like a large reform of education on all levels)
  • New voting system such as AV/STV
  • Political reform (e.g. HoC)
  • Foreign aid budget reform
  • EU reform
  • Political party donation cap

So, hit me up with a PM if you're interested! Thank you.
