It depends, but most of the time own car.

In central London (or other major city centres), driving can be extremely annoying, especially during peak hour traffic, where you sit idle for most of the time wasting fuel. Taxis get to use bus lanes, and usually you arrive at your destination 10x quicker.

Otherwise, if the distance is large, taxis are expensive and a waste of £££.

Car is cheaper. Taxi is more convenient but much more costly (depending on the journey length).

A trip as in holiday right o.O I would take my car and park it for however long you're going, I have no idea how much that costs though? Your main question is which is more convenient, I would say car, as when you get back you don't have to wait for a taxi right?

I find that hiring a car is more beneficial as per your health and parking concern.
