Some of you may know a technique used to memorise a list of words which involves creating a story out of that list. With practice, it can allow people to memorise massive 100+ lists. For example, if the list was banana, sky, ice cream, chair, the story could be:

I was walking home from school when bananas started falling from the sky. I was eating an ice cream at the time and one fell into my ice cream. The blend of banana and ice cream tasted so freakin' good, I had to sit down so I could really enjoy it.

It's easier if you're just memorising objects, but can you use this technique for things that aren't objects? For example, I have to remember the words, General, Industrial, Craft, and White.

Substitute them with other words. For example I use Kelly picks cute owls for growing shovels to remember these in order: Kingdom, phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species
