That will be hilarious and a complete disaster.
He seems a decent chap, but I agree it's not going to go well.

Galloway is a pretty repugnant person - his conduct towards Naz Shah in the election just gone was disgraceful, accusing her of lying about being a victim of domestic abuse because she said she was married at 16 rather than 15...; I can't remotely agree with the assessment of him being a good guy

A decent chap who wants anything to do with Israel out of his constituency and was a pretty sore loser in the election? :erm:

Good. It means UEFA might actually seriously consider withdrawing.

It is a shame to see the euroskeptic parties vote down the EU referendum bill.

As I have expressed inside UKIP I find it slightly confusing that they believe they cannot win a referendum due to such technicalities. Perhaps it shows a sense of defeat in the anti-EU campaign already.

It doesn't show that we are defeated.

it merely shows that we aren't willing to settle for the first, and possibly easiest option. Change was needed in that bill, it wasn't given, so we didn't support it!

Well good luck if you think Labour are going to support another bill if this fails.

Here Hear!
I was in discussions with Ray.

I made 3-4 reasonable requests.

One of which was I wanted no voting limit, he wanted a 300 vote limit to make it binding. His only concession was to drop it to 250.

The other 2 requests, timing of the vote and voting question, and possibly something else- he refused to budge on!

This may have came back to bite him!

They won't need Labour support for another bill.

If they can get enough support from opposition parties.

My local bar was despicable today and called last orders at 2200, admittedly I was the only person there most of the time I was there, and the bar I went to after just didn't feel right, so mobbsy91, another bottle of your finest red please.

2200 - absolutely ridiculous. I couldn't imagine the uproar if I closed here at that time...

Of course!

As I said, I was the only person there for about an hour so it's not that unreasonable. Last sunday it was so dead they didn't even take £50 and closed at 2215
