Moving back to Wales after two years. Watch
I'm originally from Wales, but have been living in Sweden for the past two years and have a residency here. I would like to move back to Wales in September in order to do work experience alongside my OU course. However, I was wondering if I would be eligible for a part-time loan, since I'm not 'ordinarily' a resident in the UK. It states on the website that 'non-UK nationals must have settled status on the first day of the academic year', so I might qualify under this criteria.
I called SF earlier month to ask if I could apply for a tuition fee and they said that I needed to write a cover letter as 'evidence', stating why I want to move back to Wales. I would like to add that I have documents such as my NIN, birth certificate and my British passport. Do I need to be accepted for the loan before I can apply? If this is the case, then I have a couple of other questions that I would like to ask;
1. I emailed the OU asking how to apply for finance and they directed me to Student Finance Wales. However, when I was looking at one of the application forms, it said to apply through the OU so I'm a bit confused by this.
2. When I do apply, would I have to include my current household income, or the address that I'm going to be living at in September? I am employed at the moment, but I won't be when I move back to Wales.
