Hi, I'm thinking of applying to do a degree in human resource management as I find it really interesting and it's what I want to do as a career, but my undergrad degree is in International Relations (entirely unrelated) - has anyone else done an HR or other business/management degree without having come from a business background? Slightly worried that I might be at a disadvantage.

what is your employment profile, do you have relevant HR internships or even work? It would help your transition

I assume you can self-study for something like this ? I imagine its more important to have good writing skills, structuring essays. If you get an offer for study, you can always email the admissions tutor to express any anxieties you may have, and gain advice about preparing.
