is prophase and metaphase ONLY in mitosis?

In the glossary at the back of a text book, I was looking up the definitions for prophase, metaphase and anaphase and they all say "A stage of mitosis where..." well it also takes place in meiosis too?

They do have their similarities however one of the stages further down in meiosis is different to mitosis.

If asked should I call it a stage of mitosis or just a stage of cell division? tanx for the reply

Depends on your specification, I know that on the AQA syllabus we don't cover meiosis in a huge amount when compared to mitosis.
